Information about Mill Point - including lift repair programme
Update January 2026
We can confirm that the modernisation works will begin on 26 January 2025. The work is expected to take approximately ten weeks. The work, scheduled to complete in mid-April 2026, will fix the long-standing issues and make the lift more reliable.
Work will take place between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday.
What to expect
You will see the lift engineers on site and in the vicinity of the lift. A safe working area will be clearly marked.
Lift service during the work
Whilst work takes place on the lift being modernised, the remaining lift will be operating under considerable strain, and we are doing everything possible to keep it in service. However, if this lift fails, the building may be without a lift until the modernisation is complete.
It is in everyone’s interest to be as careful as possible when using the lift. It is safe to operate, of course, but it is very sensitive to improper or rough use.
If the remaining lift does fail during this period, we will be in contact with any residents who may need specific support.
