Information about Mill Point - including lift repair programme

Update December 2025

As residents are aware, the lifts in Mill Point have been unreliable for some time. You will also know that the situation has worsened and only one lift is currently in operation.

We realise that having only one lift leads to delays and longer waiting times, and we are sorry for the disruption and frustration this causes. We are genuinely grateful for residents' patience while we work to deliver a long-term solution.

However, we can now confirm that modernisation works will begin on 26 January 2025. The work is expected to take approximately ten weeks. The work, scheduled to complete in mid-April 2026, will fix the long-standing issues and make the lift more reliable.

The remaining lift is now operating under considerable strain, and we are doing everything possible to keep it in service. However, if this lift fails, the building may be without a lift until the modernisation is complete.

It is in everyone’s interest to be as careful as possible when using the lift. It is safe to operate, of course, but it is very sensitive to improper or rough use.

If the remaining lift does fail during this period, we will be in contact with any residents who may need specific support.
